I dunno what it is...it seems really petty and everything but there's something about dW, even beyond the overpriced-ness of them. It's sorta, in my eyes, the equivalent of a guitarist playing a PRS...they're great sounding and cool, but strats will always be cooler. In this case, I suppose our "strats" would be older Yamaha or Ludwig. Know what I mean? They're too young to have credibility in my eyes. (yes I know Tony Williams played DW.)

I watched the DVD documentary on Phil Collins' "Face Value" yesterday (great friggin album). Anyways it had current footage of him discussing the album, he even played on his DW drums demonstrating some of the drum parts. He played Gretsch for SO LONG. I wonder <strike>how much DW is paying him</strike> why he switched?
BTW the DVD rocks if you like Phil
